Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. She discovered the studio when she moved to town in 2005 and hasn’t been able to stay away since then. Practicing and training as a teacher with Christine Hoar, Anna Blackwell, David Swenson and Nancy Gilgoff has been an honor, and showing up to the daily ritual of intentional breath and movement that this lineage prescribes has transformed her relationship with her body into one of love, trust, patience and care. This gift is too great not to share! Katie cherishes the welcoming atmosphere of the Shala and the compassionate and accepting way in which the practice has been handed down to her. In teaching, she strives to carry the lineage forward with this same compassion, as well as a consciously decolonial lense. She aims to understand the individual needs of each student and share a yoga that is truly for all people and all bodies.</image:caption>

She was the director and founder of Vermont’s only dedicated Ashtanga yoga studio, Bristol Yoga and currently directs Ashtanga Montauk in New York. Specializing in the integration of the Ashtanga system of asana with the principles of Ayurveda and the depth of Yogic philosophy, Christine offers students unique insights into discovering greater joy, freedom, and self-transformation. Christine has made many trips to Mysore, South India to study with the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois, and she is honored to have received his blessing and authorization to teach. Christine is also a certified Ayurvedic consultant. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500 and her school, Ashtanga Montauk, is registered as a RYT-200 Teacher Training Program.</image:caption>

Since 2017, Emma has led retreats and workshops worldwide and is the lead instructor coordinator for global events with James Nestor, author of Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art. Born in Brazil and adopted into a British family, Emma’s personal journey of rediscovery through breathwork helped her find inner peace, identity, and strength. Known as “The Breath Consultant” in wellness centres, she blends WHM, The Breathing Class, Oxygen Advantage, and Buteyko Method into an embodied, science-backed approach. Emma has completed both marathon and ultramarathon events using breathwork alone, no conventional training. She offers private sessions, mentorships, and nature-based retreats, and regularly volunteers with local and global rehabilitation services.       <image:caption>Mysore Class The Mysore class is a group class where students have a self-paced practice, with verbal instruction and hands-on adjustments from the teacher. Because the instruction in a Mysore class is highly individualized, it is appropriate for both new students as well as more advanced practitioners. Each student is taught and supported by the teacher as he/she memorizes the sequence and develops a personal rhythm to the practice. Led Basic The 60 minutes basics class is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or have never done Ashtanga yoga before. The teacher will guide you through sun salutations, standing postures, a few seated postures, and the closing series. Emphasis is on breath, bandhas (energetic locks), drishti (gaze), and alignment. Modifications are offered as needed. Led Primary Class This 90 minute class is for those with some experience with Ashtanga. Known as "Yoga Chikitsa" in Sanskrit, or Yoga Therapy, the Primary Series is a purifying practice that builds strength and flexibility in the body and tones the nervous system. Every breath has a movement, every movement has a breath.</image:caption>
